Sponsors of the HBCU Battle of the Brains are looking for candidates to join their organizations in a variety of different roles, including both internship and full-time opportunities. This desire will influence how the case will be comprised.
With consideration to each of your institutional focuses, every team makeup will be different. Teams should have an aptitude and exposure to the initial details discussed. However, it is not recommended to send a team comprised entirely of one major.
Additionally, sponsor and partner organizations will look for candidates with various focuses, majors, and specialties including:
- Accounting
- Business
- Communications
- Computer Science
- Data Science
- Digital Media and Design
- Computer Engineering
- Finance
- Marketing
Team Expectations:
- Aptitude to address a comprehensive case study
- Multiple deliverables throughout the competition period
- Finalists pitch product deliverables to a judging panel
- Additional majors supporting technology component:
- Information Technology
- Data Analytics
- Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Physics
- Mathematics
Each HBCU can only have one team per year.
